I'm so glad I didn't waste my hard earned cash on All Clad. This is just as good and easy to clean. Wow!! I'm glad I don't live in NYC or California where I have to buy All Clad just to look good in front of the neighbors. Ha ha you snobby All Clad boneheads.

We bought the 1 1/2 and 2 quart saucepans and are completely satisfied. The pans are constructed heavy, which I am impressed. I would reccommend these to anyone interested in good quality.

Bought this pan along with one all-clad and one Calphalon - for comparison purposes. This pan came out on top. Wanted to test before splurging on the set. The handle is so much more comfortable than the all clad pan and obviously much less expensive. Will see how they wear - but so far, so good. I performed a boiling test and water boiled faster with this pan than with the similar All Clad. Though it's nice to see the food through the lid of the Calphalon pan, I am a little uncomfortable with a glass lid, and the shape of the Calphalon lid creates water pooling when the lid is lifted, which then spills onto the stove top or into the food. But, I like all three products for different reasons, just decided to go for the Cuisinart based on price, looks, and so far cleans up great. (I would rate this pan a 5 star - must have hit the wrong button on the initial review)

I LOVE the overall design and construction of these pots. They cook very evenly and the pot handles stay miraculously cool- my older cookware did not, after I switched from electric to gas. My only complaint is that the 2QT and the 3QT pots are the exact same diameter and use the same size lid, which means they can't nest together for storage. I've got a small kitchen, and my pots have to nest in order to be put away. I'd suggest just getting the 3QT pan(s) since they are currently the same price and the larger volume gives you more flexibility.
One suggestion regarding other user's complaints about the lids- my old pans had the exact same style of lids, so I'd gotten the hang of them. Yes, they don't seal tightly against a rolling boil, but honestly, you don't need a tight-fitting lid on a boiling pot. If you want to keep down the splashing, just sit the lid slightly askew on the pot- the steam will be able to escape without lifting the lid, and the mess will be contained. The lids will seal just fine on simmer (when you do sometimes want a tight cover). So- if the lid is lifting and the contents are spitting out with the steam- either reduce the heat to a simmer (if you are trying to keep in the moisture) -OR- set the lid slightly off-center so there is a bit of a gap around the edges to allow the steam to escape (if you are just trying to control the mess).

Ever since Cuisinart started to manufacture cookware in China their products became of less quality. I have 2 saucepans:
1.5 quarts made in Indonesia which I bought in 2004. It has very good 3-ply construction (stainless steel, aluminum, stainless steel). After 5 years of everyday use it has shiny interior and exterior surfaces. It does not show any signs of wear. I was so happy with it - I bought another one.
2 quarts made in China which I bought in 2007. I did not pay attention to where it was manufactured. I thought the company should keep the same quality no matter where it builds its products. This saucepan already discolored and can not be cleaned. The rivets are covered with stainless steel only on interior side. The exterior side of rivets gets oxidized. It may be the cause of discoloration if you put it in dishwasher.
Stay away from Cuisinart cookware made in China.
