It was a joke in our family that my pies always overflowed and had to be scraped out of the bottom of the oven. Not with these pans ~ I can make great fruit pies with lots of juicy filling and not a drop spills onto the oven floor.

I bought these to make my Mom's recipe Chocolate Cream Pie. I had plenty of crust to shape around the edges, and put plenty of fork holes throughout. After baking for 12 minutes, the crust slid halfway down the steep sides of the pan and the upper edges burned, while the bottom center puffed up and didn't bake all the way through. They would probably work fine for fill and bake pies, but I am returning them.

This is a very nice pan with rolled edge. It is substantial and deep. It's a little heavy but that's part of the quality of the product. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality true deep dish pie pan
