I've used it in the oven as a casserole and on top of the stove as a large fry pan. I'd never used stainless cookware before so I followed the directions carefully, especially keeping the temperature lower than usual and using non-scratch utensils. I am very impressed with how evenly the food cooks and have had no problems with sticking, burning or cleanup. Barkeepers Friend keeps the pan looking new. In addition to the casserole, I bought a whole set of the Multiclad Pro and am very pleased. My husband loves it too.

If I could, I would give the product a "0", and Amazon customer service a "5".
I have been researching stainless steel cookware for a few months now. I have read tons of online reviews and decided on the Multiclad Pro Stainless line of cookware. I called Customer Service twice to make sure these pans were completely flat on the bottom and suitable for a smooth top stove. Both times they said yes, and one gentleman even went and checked the display for me.
I went ahead and purchased the 5 1/2 qt casserole pan because this is one I would use the most. If I was happy with it, I was ready to purchase the 12 piece set plus some of the additional pieces.
The first one I received was not completely smooth on the bottom, it "rocked" on my stovetop. I took a ruler to the bottom of the pan and only the very middle made contact with the ruler. The lid was also not "tight fitting" as the description says. I looked at the lid and noticed that there was a gap on one side between the lid and the pot. I called Cuisinart Customer Service who told me it was defective and to return my pan. Amazon promptly shipped me a pan out the next day.
When I received the second pan, the first thing I did was look at the bottom of the pan and the lid. Sure enough, this pan was warped too...in a different way. When I put a ruler (and I used 2 different ones), along the bottom of the pan (like my stovetop manual says to do), it was bowed in the middle. This time it would make contact with the stovetop only on very outer circle and not the middle of the pan (completely opposite from the first pan). I also looked at the lid, it also had a gap on one side between the lid and the pan where steam could escape. I tried swapping the lids of the two pans and both had the gap...telling me it was probably the pans itself.
I called Cuisinart Customer Service again who told me it sounded defective and said I could ship the pan back at my cost and also send an additional $7. Sorry, but this is poor Customer Service and unfortunately I will not be purchasing the 12 piece set and will have to start my research over again. There was so many positive reviews of this line and was so excited to purchase high quality pans. I would think that by me telling them that I have two defective pans of the same type that would prompt an investigation to find out if there is a bad lot somewhere. (I noticed these were made in China).
Thinking...ok, maybe Amazon got a bad lot, so I ordered a 12" skillet from another source. Same thing, straight out of the box, I took a ruler, and the pan again only made contact around the outer edge of it.
I called Cuisinart and asked for the supervisor. I asked her to verify the flatness of the pans again. They have a display unit and they took a ruler to the bottom and said they were completely flat. I explained again that I have had 3 pans now that are NOT flat. She told me I could ship the pan back (at my cost) with $7, and if the pan was indeed defective they would replace the pan for "free". I asked if that means reimbursing the shipping expenses so I have nothing out of pocket, and she said "no". Apparently, Cuisinart has poor customer service and there are defective pans out there, and they do not care to investigate at their cost. Unfortunately, I will have to find a different line of cookware, one that has better customer service if a problem did happen with my cookware.
So please, be careful with these pans, if you have a smoothtop like I do, immediately put a ruler on the pan and see if they are flat. If not, than send them back. Thank goodness for Amazon's excellent customer service. They had absolutely no questions at all, and I was able to send back my defective pans with their prepaid shipping labels.
So unfortunate, I really wanted these pans to work :(

I have been using the 5-1/2 qt size for over a year at least once a week. I now also have the 3 qt size. They brown, saute, braise, and bake without hot spots. They clean up very well washing by hand. I use these instead of a saute pan because they store more easily without a long handle and fit in the oven. They cook as well as my All-Clad pans.

I sent the so-called seller "Della Casa" an e-mail through Amazon com after receiving the ordered product... it didn't come in "It's original Box"(bubble wrapped in a card board container) nothing to register the product as Cuisinart requires or any thing about the product as to cleaning or use. Cuisinart didn't except a registration without the OFFICIAL model number and UPC bar code. Della Casa would not answer my request for this information. The product appears to be less than what was said it was- "Pro-tri-clad " I would not buy from this supplier in the future. All other Pro-tri-clad cook ware from Amazon Com was what it said it was, heavy gauge Pro-cookware. When someone sends you a lesser product then they won't respond, and that's what DELLA CASA does... say one thing and deliver something else. Never again- DELLA CASA!!!
